Despite high gas prices and rainy weather, the 29th Annual Lake Scott Rod Run drew a nice crowd of beautifully restored and customized cars. I saw license tags from four states The weather was a bit damp at times, but the temperatures couldn't be beat for mid- August in western, KS! Entertainment was provided by "Muzik Machine" and D.J. Broc "Kid Brock" Swedenborg and I would personally recommend him for any kind of an event that needs a good D.J. that knows how to get the crowd in the mood to have a great time! Thanks to Broc and everyone for all the help they gave me, and to everyone who purchased photos, laser engravings and calendars, and also to Barb at the Scott County Hospital for getting my Rod Run pictures on the local CATS cable access channel! Thanks To Rod, Kathy and the crew at the Scott County Record for their help and encouragement. Thanks to Marian at www.scottcity.info for listing all the local happenings! Thanks also to the Julie and the folks at the Scott City Chamber of Commerce for all they do to promote local tourism and help bring great entertainment to town! Thanks to 3 Phase Laser for enabling me to create the laser engraved wooden plaques.
